Open Water / Tri Clinic

Training for the Busselton Ironman or simply tackling your first triathlon or open water swim and need some help to get yourself prepared and in the best possible condition for the race? Daunted by the prospect of 300 other swimmers thrashing about around you?

Enrol in the eSWIM Open Water / Tri Swim Course to learn how to tackle your next race with confidence and control.

The eSWIM Open Water / Tri Course is a 2 day intensive course where you will cover all the skills required to effectively compete in open water events. During the course we will work on your endurance capabilities and find your optimal "race pace" so you can enter the water with confidence and, more importantly, with a race plan.
You will also  learn how to swim next to and behind other swimmers, how to sight and turn around marker buoys, what to eat before a race, what to wear for your race, how to warm up and how to prepare in the weeks before your race.
In short, everything you need to know about swimming in Open Water or Triathlon events.

Swimming in Open Water and Triathlon events is a skill. Like any skill, you need to learn how to do it and then practice it. Even the most competent swimmers can find themselves out of their depth in an open water race situation. Join eSWIM coach, Elena Nesci, and Special Guest Coach David "Lockey" Locke for this 2 day course and you will acquire skills to compete and achieve your goals.

Elena has competed in Open Water Swims for many years including the Rottnest Channel Swim as a solo, duo and team swimmer. She has also competed in triathlons and understands the different approaches required for different race lengths.

Lockey is a 5 time Australian Lifesaver of the Year and a multiple winner of the Rottnest Channel Swim Team event.  He has an unmatched knowledge of how to swim in the ocean and how to adapt to the conditions that present on race day.

Places are strictly limited so get your enrolment in NOW to avoid disappointment.

"Just a quick email to say how much I enjoyed the OW / Tri course.  I found it to be pitched at the exact level I needed it to be as a novice OW swimmer.  I thought the course content was great - all of it was directly relevant and the course was very enjoyable.  I will thoroughly recommend it to anyone who will listen!" Pippa

"Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks for getting me over the swim leg of the half ironman today. I couldn't have done it without all the work you and Lockey put into developing my stroke and my confidence and practising the pack swimming at the OWS Course." Chris

"Can't thank you enough for the confidence you gave me for the swim. A very choppy day, and I managed a PB but not only that, I managed to stay calm and when I got out of the water I felt amazing. I had conserved so much energy and came away with a win. I am so excited and can't thank you enough!!!!
So I'm off to Hawaii..."  Lee Anne
